An online study of 25,000 people is recruiting participants to help study the impact of COVID-19 isolation on the health and wellbeing of older people, and find new ways to support them.

‘Families Under Pressure’ is a series of eight short films offering parenting tips featuring the recognisable voices of a host of well-known parents including Olivia Colman, Rob Brydon, Holly Willoughby, Danny Dyer, Sharon Horgan, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Romesh Ranganathan and Shappi Khorsandi. It was funded by Maudsley Charity and the National Institute for Health Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.

Rebecca, a NIHR Maudsley BRC funded PhD student at the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute, is a successful applicant in the Enrichment scheme at The Alan Turing Institute. This placement allows students to join the Turing giving them the opportunity to access the facilities, find new collaborators for their research project and learn and apply new methodologies.

The Coronavirus Outbreak Psychological Experiences (COPE) Study by researchers from the NIHR Maudsley BRC Patient and Carer Involvement and Engagement (PCIE) theme aims to investigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on mental health and well-being. The study is inviting people who are aged 16 and above and live in the UK to take part in an online survey.
