By NIHR Wellcome King's Clinical Research Facility at 16 Mar 2021New research from King’s College London has shown for the first time that overweight people with depression are 2.4 times more likely to have clinically elevated levels of inflammation. Futhermore, overweight people with depression were estimated to have an extremely high clinical risk of developing other medical conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and metabolic disorders.
