Inflammation is a core feature of depression: new evidence from large-scale study

People with depression have higher levels of inflammation in their bodies than those without depression, regardless of socioeconomic background, ill health or unhealthy behaviours, a study by King’s College London finds.

Innovative UK data hub to enable research and innovation to tackle mental illness

Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) have today announced a new Hub to provide innovative data resources for mental health research and innovation. An interview with Dr Faith Matcham

Dr Faith Matcham is the NIHR Maudsley BRC Research Champion for diversity and inclusion. Faith also co-ordinates the major depression study within RADAR-CNS, which uses data collected from wearable devices and smartphone sensors to predict health outcomes in people with major depressive disorder, epilepsy and MS.
