Professor Matthew Hotopf receives CBE at Buckingham Palace

Professor Matthew Hotopf, Vice Dean of Research at the IoPPN, King's College London, and Director of the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre has been awarded a CBE for services to Psychiatric Research. Professor Hotopf received the CBE from His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday.

Computers can ‘spot the difference’ between healthy brains and the brains of people with Dissociative Identity Disorder

Machine-learning and neuroimaging techniques have been used to accurately distinguish between individuals with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and healthy individuals, on the basis of their brain structure, in new research part funded by the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre and published in The British Journal of Psychiatry.

New Clinical Disorders and Health Behaviours cluster lead announced

Grainne McAlonan, Professor of Translational Neuroscience, King’s College London, has been appointed Clinical Disorders Lead at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, a partnership between SLaM and King’s College London.
