Professor Grainne McAlonan has been appointed as Deputy Director of the NIHR Maudsley BRC from May 2023 following a competitive call earlier this year. Professor McAlonan will take over from Professor Matthew Hotopf as interim BRC Director from this August.

Dr Mariana Pinto da Costa is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychological Medicine at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London. She is also a Consultant Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The NIHR funding is for five years from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2027.
