EDI representatives for BRC announced

As part of NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC)’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy we have appointed 14 representatives to support our work. The NIHR Maudsley BRC themes and core programmes each have an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) lead researcher. They are responsible for championing local EDI initiatives.

Designing mental health research studies with the READ Group

Dr Julie Williams is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Implementation Science, King’s College London, who is working to support the physical health of those using mental health services. As part of a funding application, Julie recently consulted with our Race and Ethnicity Advisory (READ) Group, which provides researchers with an opportunity to hear the views of individuals from under-represented ethnic communities on conducting mental health research.

Researchers are invited to work with our new Race and Ethnicity Advisory (READ) group, to consult with a wide range of under-represented ethnic communities and receive diverse perspectives and insights on how best to conduct mental health research.
