Antibiotic may improve outcomes for depression in people with low level inflammation

King’s College London researchers have found evidence that minocycline, a widely used antibiotic with anti-inflammatory properties, gave greater improvement in depressive symptoms in patients with treatment resistant depression with low-grade peripheral inflammation.

SIREN study finds past COVID-19 infection provides some immunity for at least five months

The first report from Public Health England's national SIREN study, supported at King's College Hospital by the King's CRF, has found that past COVD-19 infection provides 83% immunity for at least five months. However, some people may still carry the virus and transmit to other people.

New swabbing pod open at King's CRF

A new swabbing pod has been installed next to the Clinical Trials Facility at King’s College Hospital so that outpatients and trial participants who are symptomatic or have tested positive for COVID-19 can continue to receive treatment or attend follow-up appointments.
