Researchers at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) BioResource are calling for 40,000 people with depression or anxiety to join the online Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study, funded by the NIHR.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust was the top mental health trust in the country for the number of open studies last year with 101 studies available for patients to participate in. This was up by 14 per cent from 89 studies the previous year. This is according to new figures from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

Ulrike Schmidt, Professor of Eating Disorders at the IoPPN, has been announced as one of the NHS70 Women Leaders. This recognition award for women leaders in healthcare is in celebration of the NHS turning 70 years old, and 100 years of women’s suffrage. This award was presented by the Women’s Leadership Academy, part of the NHS London Leadership Academy.
