Around one in seven young people in the UK present with a diagnosable mental disorder; the majority are untreated, often resulting in poorer mental/physical health, and social/economic outcomes in adulthood. Early identification and treatment are therefore vital. The MyJournE app uses data from schools and mood monitoring surveys to support young people's mental health.

However, only a small number of these clinical decisions for children and people with neurodevelopmental disorders are based on high quality evidence because research studies are typically too small. We are addressing this by using the digital revolution to improve our ability to make research more efficient and thus to bring greater benefits.

CUES-Ed is an innovative mental health promotion and prevention programme delivered in primary schools.
