Concentrated naloxone nasal spray as good as injection

A new study published by the scientific journal Addiction has found that a concentrated 2mg intranasal naloxone spray delivers naloxone as effectively, over the critical first 15 minutes, as the standard 0.4mg intramuscular (IM) naloxone injection. The research was co-authored by Professor Sir John Strang and Dr Rebecca McDonald, National Addiction Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London.

First network analysis of patient flow in two UK hospitals published

Professor Oliver Howes receives Royal College of Psychiatrists Award

Oliver Howes, Professor of Molecular Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, and the London Institute of Medical Sciences, Imperial College London, was yesterday (6 November) named R N Jajoo Memorial Academic Researcher of the Year at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Awards.
