Engaging in physical activity decreases people’s chance of developing depression

An international team, including a researcher funded by the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, have found physical activity can protect against the emergence of depression, regardless of age and geographical region.

Bipolar Disorder researchers awarded international grant

The European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme has given R-Link €7.7m for a cohort trial of lithium initiation, the results of which could provide people with bipolar disorder and clinicians better and more accurate information to make appropriate decisions regarding prescription of  lithium.
