Rebecca, a NIHR Maudsley BRC funded PhD student at the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute, is a successful applicant in the  Enrichment scheme at The Alan Turing Institute. This placement allows students to join the Turing giving them the opportunity to access the facilities, find new collaborators for their research project and learn and apply new methodologies.

Nurses in research blog: Emma and Naomi

Emma Russell and Naomi O'Mahony are Mental Health Liaison Nurses, based in St Thomas’ Hospital and Lewisham Hospital respectively. They support people presenting with mental health crisis, usually in A&E but also across their hospitals, to assess each person’s needs and create a personalised treatment plan.

BRC-funded PhD students organise their annual away day

On Thursday 18 April, PhD students from the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre paused their work for the day and trekked north of the river to Bush House for a student-led Away Day. This was organised by the four Maudsley BRC student reps with sessions suggested by the whole cohort.
