Our Preparatory Clinical Research Training Fellowships offer healthcare professionals an opportunity to obtain the necessary research track record, skills and support to compete for an externally funded doctoral training fellowship with NIHR, MRC, Wellcome or other funder.
The scheme is available to medical trainees in psychiatry or neurology and to other health professionals who are planning clinical academic careers or who wish to develop research within their future clinical role.
Fellowships are usually full time for 12 months. The fellowship funding supports the fellow's basic NHS salary, plus a budget for training, conference presentation and moderate project consumables.
