The NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is administered within the framework of the joint Research and Development Office at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Our Service User Advisory Group guides our research priorities and activities, and we are managed and governed by an Executive Board, Management Committee and an external independent Scientific Advisory Board.
The NIHR Maudsley BRC is structured around five clusters of activity each comprising several research themes. Research clusters are overseen by a clinical academic lead, who is responsible for developing and implementing the research strategy of the Cluster.
Professor Matthew Hotopf CBE is Director of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre and Professor of General Hospital Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London.
