About Academic Career Development


We aim to support and train the next generation of clinical and non-clinical researchers who will help deliver transformative changes in mental health care. Our clinical trainees come from NHS medical (particularly psychiatry and neurology) and allied healthcare professions. Non-clinical trainees join us with backgrounds in neuroscience, psychology, biological science, social science, physical science, mathematics and statistics.

Our funding opportunities include:

Students, trainees and secondees have access to the outstanding educational and training support within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London and become members of the NIHR Academy.
