Shanmukha has a BSc Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation and an MSc in Distributed Systems and Networks from the University of Hertfordshire. 

Shanmukha has a long track record as an accomplished Consultant (ITIL & Microsoft MCSA Certified). He is trained and certified in Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases and ITIL® Foundation in IT Service Management. He is highly experienced in administering, monitoring, implementing, managing and supporting databases using SQL Servers and has excellent knowledge of the UK health care industry, clinical record systems and various applications used in the NHS (e.g. e-PJS, RIO, System One).

In 2016, he joined the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) as a SQL Database Administrator. His role involves undertaking the implementation, configuration, support and maintenance activities for CRIS, as well as supporting time-critical system-wide upgrades, interface management of multiple inbound and outbound data-streams and a rapidly expanding SQL development program.
