Ruimin obtained her undergraduate degree in BSc Psychology with University of Sheffield before completing her master in MSc Clinical Mental Health Science and PhD in Psychiatric Research with University College London.

In 2020, she joined Department of Psychological Medicine, King’s College London as a research associate. Her special research interests are the interface between physical and mental health in serious mental illness, loneliness and social relationships, as well as interventions to improve patients’ outcomes.

Her current role in the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) as Clinical Informatics Interface and Network Lead is to work closely with researchers and Natural Language Processing (NLP) experts, and manage NLP application testing to support BRC research projects.
